There are numerous benefits when doing your accounting online. “Cloud Computing” is gaining popularity at an exponential rate, due to its ease of accessibility and flexibility, regardless of the user’s location.

Cloud Computing Benefits

Decreased Costs: When doing your accounting in the cloud, it removes the need for each user to invest in software, whilst hardware requirements are massively reduced. Anyone who needs access to the accounts can be granted login details. Users share access to the main server, located in the cloud.

Convenience: The only requirements for accessing your accounts are an internet capable device and an internet connection. With contemporary smartphone technology, this means you can access your accounts almost anywhere, without needing to log on to your office desktop PC.

Updates: Accounting software such as Xero, which is located in the cloud, is constantly updated and modified to be better suit the needs of its users. Because it is housed online, Xero users don’t need to update their software locally. Changes are available simply by logging in.
